Industrial Connectivity Engineer

Develop and maintain the connectivity layer that enables Vitesse to communicate with industrial equipment, automation systems, robots, sensors, and enterprise software across diverse operational environments. The ideal candidate has a strong appetite for reverse-engineering, and is unafraid to hack into — and even break — equipment in order to understand and develop its capabilities better than its creators.

Industrial connectivity

• Develop industrial communication drivers.
• Build connectors for PLCs, robots, CNCs, SCADA, MES, historians, and IoT platforms.
• Develop protocol abstraction layers.
• Ensure reliable, deterministic communication.
• Support both legacy and modern industrial systems.

Protocols

• OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP.
• Siemens S7, Beckhoff ADS.
• MTConnect, FOCAS.
• MQTT, REST, and vendor-specific APIs.

Desired experience

• Computer science and industrial automation background.
• PLC programming.
• Industrial networking.
• Robotics and embedded systems.
• C++, C#, or Python.
• Industrial protocols.
